Daily Bangla Times: Three people were killed in separate road accidents in Chandpur. The incidents took place in Gachtala and Faridganj of the town on Friday (May 12).

The deceased were known as Sabbir Hossain (18), son of Malek Pradhan of Chowdhury Para of the town, Anim (19), son of Fazlul Haque of Adarsh Muslim Para and Liakat Ali (52) of Piarapur village of Lakshmipur Sadar.

According to local sources, three friends were making Tik Tok videos on motorcycles at the noon. When they reached Gachtala area, the motorcycle collided head-on with a CNG-run autorickshaw coming from the opposite direction, leaving the three seriously injured. Locals rescued them and took them to Chandpur 250-bed hospital, where doctors on duty declared two of them dead.

Chandpur 250-bed hospital doctor Mizanur Rahman said, “Two died due to excessive bleeding while the other person has been admitted to the hospital.”

Meanwhile, a man Liaquat Ali died in a head-on collision between two CNG-run auto-rickshaws at Faridganj bus stand on the same day afternoon.

Chadpur Sadar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector (SI) Shahrin confirmed the matter.

He said, “Police have been sent to the spot after receiving the information.”
