The Newspaper Owners' Association of Bangladesh (NOAB) has announced three-day holidays starting April 21 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr – the largest religious festival of the Muslims in the country. A notification signed by NOAB president AK Azad confirmed the matter on Tuesday (April 18). In accordance with the decision of the executive committee of NOAB, no newspaper will be published on April 22, 23 and 24. If, however, Eid is celebrated on April 23, holiday will also be observed on April 24 and no newspaper will be published on the following day, said a NOAB press release.
