BD Correspondent: Ruling Awami League on Friday gave away 58 seats among its partners.

 

General secretary of the party Obaidul Quader at a ceremony handed over the final AL party letters to the leaders of the partners who would take part in the next general election with the symbol ‘boat’.

The partners Workers Party of Bangladesh got five seats while Inu led Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal three seats, Bangladesh JSD two, Bikalpadhara three, Jatiya Party Manu two and Tarikat Federation got two seats.

Jatiya Party, the partner of AL led grand alliance, would get 40 to 42 seats who would take part in the elections with their party symbol, ‘plough’ Quader said reporters at a press conference at Dhanmondi office of the party president Sheikh Hasina.
