The new couple of the tinsel town–Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt — who have been shying away from accepting their relationship in public, are now opening up steadily. Although both the stars will be sharing the screen space for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, their relationship goes way back in time.

In a recent interview, Alia Bhatt revealed that she had a crush on her present beau Ranbir since the age of 11. On the actor’s roundtable, where the other actresses named Hollywood actors when asked about their crush, the Highway actress stuck to what she has confessed earlier too.

“Ranbir,” Alia said. Anushka Sharma asked whether she had posters of the actor in her room.

“No, but I used to stare at his pictures,” Alia said.

Talking about their first encounter the actress said, “I met Ranbir when I was 11. I had auditioned for Black. Since then I had a crush on him. And then he came in Saawariya and I had already seen him.”Alia and Ranbir made their relationship official when they made an appearance at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception together, reports The Statesman.

Recently, Alia celebrated the New Year’s Eve with the Kapoor family in New York— Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, Ranbir Kapoor with Alia Bhatt, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, with husband Bharat and daughter Samara.
