Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested more than 50 leaders and workers of opposition BNP centring the Thursday's grand rally of the party in Dhaka. Sources at the DMP said they were arrested conducting raids at different areas in the capital including Wari, Shajahanpur, Paltan, Pallabi and Darus Salam police stations in the capital from Tuesday night to Wednesday morning.
Of the arrested persons, 23 were sent to court.The court and police sources said those who were arrested, they have been shown arrested in old cases.
