BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury were released from Keraniganj Central Jail today after languishing in jail three and a half months.
Hundred or party leaders and activists welcomed him at the jail gate.
Earlier on Wednesday, A Dhaka court granted bail Mirza Fakhrul and Amir Khasru in a case filed for vandalising the chief justice's residence.
Since they were granted bail in all 11 cases related to the mass rally held in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan central office on 28 October, there was no legal bar to their release from prison.
