Daily Bangla Times: Khelafat Majlis Amir Shaikhul Hadith Maulana Zobair Ahmed Chowdhury has died while taking Iftar in Narayanganj. He breathed his last at an Iftar mahfil at Jamtala Hira Community Center in the city on Friday (April 7) evening.
President of Narayanganj Metropolitan Khelafat Majlis Sharif Mohammad Mosaddek said, Maulana Zobair Ahmed Chowdhury spoke at the Iftar party. Later, while taking Iftar, he suddenly collapsed in the lap of death. Later the body was sent to the relatives.
Last January, Maulana Zobair Ahmed Chowdhury was elected as the Amir of the Khelafat Majlis. Before that he served as Director General of Qaumi Madrasa Education Board. He held the post of Shaikhul Hadith and Muhaddith in various Madrasas.
Maulana Zobair Ahmed Chowdhury was born on December 1, 1950 in Moulvibazar city. He was active in politics for long days.
