Leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party-led alliance on Thursday asked the Election Commission to withdraw chairmen of school committees who were appointed by the government as they would influence the general election.
After a meeting of the alliance at the office of Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson in Gulshan, the alliance coordinator and Liberal Democratic Party president Oli Ahmed made the demand.
The alliance also said the Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda might face trial one day if he fails to ensure equal scope for all political parties in election activities.
