Daily Bangla Times: The entrepreneurs and exporters in the service sector can now bring in $20,000 or its equivalent without declaration to customs. The Foreign Exchange Policy Department of Bangladesh Bank issued a direction in this regard on Wednesday (February 22). According to a Bangladesh Bank circular, to facilitate inward remittances, it has been decided that declaration will not be required for inward remittances up to $20,000 or its equivalent.
Earlier on February 1, Bangladesh Bank issued an instruction to authorized dealer (AD) banks to facilitate the process of bringing foreign currency or dollars.
