Daily Bangla Times: An earthquake of 7.1 magnitude hit the Kermadec Islands region in New Zealand on Thursday morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the quake was estimated at a depth of 10 km (6.21 miles).
A tsunami warning was issued after the quake, the US Tsunami Warning System said.
There is no tsunami threat to Australia, the country’s Bureau of Meteorology said in a tweet.
