Portfolios distributed among 7 state ministers

Seven new state ministers of the Cabinet were sworn-in at Bangabhaban Durbar Hall on Friday (March 1) evening. After the sworn-in ceremony, the Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification regarding distribution of the portfolios.

The newly inducted cabinet members are: Naogaon-2 Constituency MP Md Shahiduzzaman Sarker as State Minister for Planning, Rajshahi-5 Constituency MP Md Abdul Wadud as State Minister for Rural Development & Co-operative Division, Chattogram-14 Constituency MP Md Nazrul Islam Chowdhury as State Minister for Labour and Employment, Reserved women's seat MP Rokeya Sultana as State Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Reserved women's seat MP Begum Shamsunnahar as State Minister for Education, Reserved women's seat MP Begum Wasika Ayesha Khan as State Minister for Finance and Reserved women's seat MP Begum Nahid Izhar Khan as State Minister for Cultural Affairs.

President Mohammed Shahabuddin administered the oath of office and oath of secrecy to the new state ministers at 7.30pm.

They also signed the oath of office and oath of secrecy after the swearing-in ceremony.
