Bangladesh bundled for 144 against NZ

Bangladesh batting threw their all wickets dramatically to the New Zealand spinners Ajaz Patel and Mitchell Santner scoring 144 in their second innings in the morning session on Day Four of the Dhaka Test on Saturday.

The left-arm orthodox spinner of the Blackcaps, Ajaz Patel claimed a six-wicket haul while another spinner Mitchell Santner took three wickets.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh left handed batsman Zakir Hasan scored 59 runs which was the only bright spot for the tigers on a day the hosts could muster just 106 runs for their remaining eight wickets.

Shoriful Islam was the last batter to get dismissed, getting stumped off Ajaz, while Taijul Islam remained unbeaten on 14, which could prove to be a crucial knock on an unpredictable track at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

New Zealand now need 137 runs in a little over five sessions to level the two-match series 1-1.
