Bangladesh secured a hard-fought match against India by tying the third ODI at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur.

Nahida Akter and Marufa Akter shared five wickets together to bowl India out on 225 runs while chasing 226 in 50 overs which ended the match as a draw.

Nahida bagged three wickets and Marufa picked a couple of wickets for Bangladesh.

Earlier, Fargana Hoque registered her maiden ODI century to help Bangladesh set a 226-run target, which is also the highest score by a Bangladeshi in ODIs.

Opener Fargana and Shamima Sultana gave Bangladesh a positive start as they put on a 93-run partnership after opting to bat first.

Shamima (52 off 78) departed after completing a half-century, then Fargana joined hands with Nigar Sultana Joty and continued her fine form to take the team past the 150-run mark, adding 71 runs for the second wicket stand.

Skipper Joty managed to play a 36-ball 24 innings aided by a solitary boundary and Sobhana Mostary played an unbeaten 23 off 22 deliveries with two 4's.

Fargana became the first Bangladeshi women cricketer to score an ODI century 107 off 160 deliveries, which featured seven 4's that helped Tigresses set second-highest score in ODIs after 234 for seven against Pakistan in Hamilton in 2022.
