BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi said, ‘Sheikh Hasina is saying that she is not afraid of death. But he fears fair elections. They fear fair elections under a neutral government. He does not give a fair election because he is afraid.’

Rizvi said, ‘There is no fair election in the country, there is no right to march. People are dying in police shootings. BNP worker Shaon died in this Narayanganj. He didn’t do anything wrong, robbery, robbery. But he was shot dead just for being in the BNP’s foundation anniversary procession. Police cold-bloodedly killed a motorist, BNP worker.’

He said, ‘We don’t want to hurt anyone. We want Sheikh Hasina’s regime to end. I want votes under a neutral government. The people who will vote there will form the government.’

This BNP leader also said, ‘Today, NAICO has started the trial of the case. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself was the accused in this NAICO case. He is judging Khaleda Zia and some others by omitting his own name by force of state power. It is a farce trial, a trial to fulfill Sheikh Hasina’s wishes. He controls the court, police, RAB. Everyone is afraid of him.’

Urging the party leaders and workers to be united, Rizvi said, ‘Jubo League, Chhatra League attacked from the police. Even in this we carry out programs. Narayanganj is the city of struggle. There has been a lot of injustice here. Today we know why there are no innocent teenagers, why there are 7 dead bodies in Shitalakhya. Therefore, for the truth, against injustice, we must unite and jump.’

BNP’s Dhaka Divisional Organizing Secretary Abdus Salam Azad, Co-International Affairs Secretary Nazrul Islam Azad, Metropolitan BNP Convener Sakhawat Hossain Khan, Member Secretary Abu Al Yusuf Khan, District BNP Joint Convenor Monirul Islam Ravi and others were present in the march.

BNP leaders gathered in Khanpur Hospital Road area at 3 pm. From there, the march ended at 5 pm in front of Narayanganj Press Club in Chashadha of the city.

Chaos was seen among BNP workers during the march. Two sides clashed in Missionpara area of the city.
