Daily Bangla Times: The government has extended M Khurshid Hossain’s job as the chief of the Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) by one year.Public Administration Ministry on Tuesday (May 23) issued a gazette notification in this regard.

According to the notification, Khurshid has been appointed further as the DG RAB on condition of his Post Retirement Leave (PRL) and other related benefits will remain suspended during the period as per Section 49 of the Public Service Act-2018.The order will come into effect from June 5, 2023 or from the date of his joining, the notification added.Khurshid succeeded Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun as the director general of RAB on 30 September 2022.
