Daily Bangla Times: A fire that broke out at BGB Market in House Building area of Uttara in the capital this morning, has been brought under control. The fire broke out in BGB Market area around 10:25 am and was brought under control around 11:10 am today (April 17).Lima Khanam, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense headquarters control room, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Being informed, five units of firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. However, the reason behind the fire and the damage caused could not be known immediately. Earlier on Saturday (April 15) a massive fire broke out in Dhaka New Super Market in the capital. At least 31 people including 25 firefighters fell sick from the heavy smoke.

Besides, another massive fire gutted more than 2500 shops at Bangabazar Market in the capital early Tuesday (April 4). According to the Bangladesh Dokan Malik Samity, the fire may have burnt more than Tk 1,000 crore worth of investment into ashes.
