Daily Bangla Times: To make the rail service smart, the Bangladesh Railway Authority is selling Eid advance tickets online only. This puts a lot of pressure on the server.

Masud Sarwar, station manager at Kamalapur railway station, said although there was little pressure on Friday but, the pressure of ticket seekers was very high. Around 13 lakh people have hit the server for purchasing tickets of advanced sales.

The server was hit 13 lakh times in the first minute. Tickets for Rangpur, Lalmonirhat, Panchagarh, and Kurigram were sold out by 10 am today.

Shohoz, the country's largest online ticket seller said there was an additional load on their server. As a result, the payment was getting stuck at the gateway.

A total of 25,778 seat tickets will be released every day from Dhaka to different parts of the country on this Eid. All of the tickets will be sold online.

The sale of advance train tickets for Eid holidaymakers started on Friday morning (April 7). Train tickets for April 18, 19, 20 and 21 will be available on April 8, 9, 10 and 11, respectively.
