Daily Bangla Times: Eight people have been killed in a gunfight between two groups in Rowangchhari of Bandarban district. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rowangchhari Abdul Mannan confirmed the news.

The gunfight took place on Friday noon in Khamthampara area of Rowangchhari sadar union between Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) and another arms group. On information, police recovered the bodies and sent those to Bandarban Sadar Hospital..

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately. It is being suspected that all deceased were members of Bom community. KNF confirmed the deaths of its seven members on its Facebook page. They are Bhan Du Bom, Sung Khum, Sun Fir Khang Bom, Boyrem Bom, Jahim Bom, Lal Lian Bom and Laltha Jar Bom.
