As she climbs onwards and upwards up the fashion hill, she stops by to arrive in style at the Oscars' champagne carpet this year. With so much international recognition she has received in the recent past, her appearance at the Oscars was certainly not a shocking one. One of the most anticipated stars of the night Deepika Padukone exceeded all expectations in a charming black off-shoulder gown. She was invited to present the power-packed Naatu Naatu performance that very well deserved a standing ovation. Owing to her commitment as a brand ambassador to Louis Vuitton, it was only obvious that she would pick an ensemble from their shelves for the big night too. She brought old-world Hollywood charm back to the centre stage in a voluminous black velvet off-shoulder gown from the brand and paired matching black velvet gloves with it. The form-fitting bodice extends into a lavishly structured A-line bottom. She also endorses luxury jewellery house, Cartier and represented the brand's collection in the form of a drop yellow diamond necklace, stacked diamond bangles and rings over her gloves.
