Daily Bangla Times: The Election Commission has decided in principle to hold polls in five city corporations in three phases by June before the 12th general election.

The city corporations are Gazipur, Rajshahi, Barishal, Sylhet and Khulna, EC Secretary Md Zahangir Alam told the reporters after the 16th meeting of the commission on Wednesday.

He said EC decided in principle to hold the five city elections between May and June and more details in this regard will be informed subsequently.
