International Desk: German people have protested against Western allies supplying Ukraine with weapons against Russia. Police said that at least 10,000 people participated in it. They protested near the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, a day after the anniversary of the Russia-Ukraine war on Saturday.

Meanwhile, several senior officials of the German government reacted strongly to the protest. A large number of Berlin police were also deployed to keep the protests under control.

Kiev's Western allies have pledged to give them more weapons and imposed new sanctions on Russia on the anniversary of the Ukraine war, ahead of protests called by left-wing politicians.

At that time, the people who participated in the protest said that they are calling on the German chancellor to stop the way the tension is being increased through the supply of arms. Stop (arms supply) now. Because thousands of lives are being lost every day and we're heading towards World War III, say the protest organizers.

The protest was organized under the banner of Wake Up for Peace. It was led by Sahra Wagennecht, a member of Germany's left-wing De Link party.

Apart from the United States, Germany is one of the largest arms exporters to Ukraine. Meanwhile, discussion, not tension, was seen on a placard held by a protester, on a banner in the crowd—not our war.

1,400 police were deployed to control the situation and enforce a ban on military uniforms, flags of Russia or the Soviet Union, Russian military anthems and right-wing symbols.

However, the police spokesperson confirmed that no right-wing group took part in the protest. He also said that the protest was peaceful.

Meanwhile, German Finance Minister Christian Linder said that such protests should be opposed.
