Daily Bangla Times: A person was killed reportedly during a clash between activists of the BNP and police at the capital's Nayapaltan area on Wednesday (December 7).
The deceased was known as Mokbul, 30.
BNP Chairperson's press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter. Sources said the bullet-hit person was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 3:30 pm. Later, the duty doctors declared him dead around 4:00 pm.
DMCH police outpost In-charge Inspector Bacchu Mia said the victim was taken to the hospital from Nayapaltan. Later, he died under treatment.
Earlier, the leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) locked into a clash with police in the Paltan area in the capital.
Police allegedly tried to disperse the BNP men by firing rubber bullets and tear shells to bring the situation under control.
