 Bangladesh women’s team fast bowler Jahanara Alam was named the 12th member of the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 2018’s ‘Team of the tournament’ on Sunday.

The 25-year-old pacer had an impressive showing in the tournament held in West Indies, picking up six wickets in four matches with an economy rate of 5.08.

However, her side had a disappointing outing in the tournament as Bangladesh failed to reach the 100-run-mark even once in the tournament and lost all four group-stage matches to return home empty-handed.

Jahanara was the only Bangladeshi player to make it to the ‘Team of the tournament’ as three players from India and England, two players from the eventual Champions Australia and one player each from West Indies, Pakistan and New Zealand made up the rest of the XI.
